Murat Elpe representing Karbosan visit Bulldog Abrasives
Karbosan has a long standing partnership of over 15 years with Bulldog Abrasives and has been instrumental in the rapid growth within the industrial consumable sector for Bulldog Abrasives in Sub Saharan Africa. Murat Elpe, sales manager for bonded and coated products, representing Karbosan, visited Bulldog between the 18th and the 23rd of July to assist with new product training and the annual review.
“Karbosan is pleased with the rapid unit sales growth on the broad spread of Karbosan products into this market” , remarked Elpe. “We have seen astonishing growth within this territory thanks to Bulldog Abrasives, highlighted by a major increase in the amount of cutting and grinding discs into the Southern African industrial sector, even during a period of poor overall industrial growth figures for this sector”.
“Karbosan are one of the key players worldwide, owning factories dedicated to the manufacture of both coated abrasives (sandpaper), as well as bonded and vitrified products”, says Baynes, sales director for Bulldog Abrasives. “They (Karbosan) have extensive knowledge and experience which has been helpful to ensure that Bulldog Abrasives widens their footprint into other markets, including automotive, Industrial, the wood sector and retail”.
Karbosan’s innovation and constant improvements regarding their revised zirconia, alox cloth and paper products for the production of steel grinding tools, as well as belts from their new manufacturing facility, have opened the possibility of closer co-operation on coated abrasives. The launch of Karbosan’s 100% poly-cotton cloth for flap discs and belts, ZXPR22, will be rolled out in South Africa in the New Year along with some of the latest innovations from their range of cutting and grinding discs for both mild and stainless steel.
