Doctor Vicky Lottering’s career reflects a continuous commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care, particularly in the areas of acute medical care, chronic condition management, preventative medicine, and psychiatric illness.
Dr. Lottering graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2004 where she achieved membership to the Golden Key Society for high academic achievement. She spent eight years in Australia as an Emergency Docter where she also did a certificate in Mental Health, Gender Based Violence and Cosmetic Medicine. Her love of teaching was fulfilled by a senior lecturer position at the Australian National University (ANU), where she trained and mentored medical students.
On return to South-Africa she broadened her scope of experience working as an Emergency Department Manager where she acquired multiple Emergency Courses, including Emergency Sonography, and later went on to work as a full-time General Practitioner. Her expertise in drug and alcohol rehabilitation was honed during her tenure at a Drug and Rehabilitation Hospital (2019-2022), where she specialized in managing substance use disorders. She continues to work as a General Practitioner, Drug-and Rehabilitation Doctor, combined with Cosmetic Medicine and Sports Medicine.
On a more personal level, Dr. Lottering lives in Centurion with her husband and three boys whom she adores, teaches at the Children’s Praise and Worship at Doxa DeoMidstream and acts as a carer for her mother and father who lives with her. When she’s not working you’ll find her painting, reading or spending time with her Herbal Medicine Garden.
She is a warm, compassionate person with a love for attention to detail and further learning. Her extensive experience, compassionate approach, and commitment to continuous learning makes her an invaluable asset to any healthcare team.
