Healing Together: A Family Workshop for Support and Recovery

Are you a loved one of someone struggling with addiction? Do you feel lost, confused, or frustrated by the impact addiction has had on your life?

At Eagles View Wellness Centre, we believe that addiction is a family disease that affects not just the individual but also those around them. That’s why we offer a unique family workshop, once a month, designed to educate, support, and empower loved ones like you.

What to Expect: Comprehensive education on addiction, group sharing session, and Q&A

Education and Awareness: Understanding Addiction

Our workshop begins with a comprehensive presentation that provides an in-depth look at the signs, symptoms, and effects of addiction. You’ll learn about the different types of addiction, how it develops, and the best treatment options available.

A Safe Space to Share and Connect

But our workshop doesn’t stop there. We also invite you to join us for a group session where you can share your experiences, concerns, and feelings in a safe and confidential environment. This is your chance to express yourself honestly and openly, without fear of judgment or criticism. Remember, you’re not alone in this journey. We’re all here to support each other. So, take a deep breath, be kind to yourself, and know that we’re going to get through this together.

Let’s work together to create a safe space for open communication and healing.

Breaking Through Denial: Empowering Loved Ones

By sharing your story, you can help your loved one understand the impact of their addiction and break through any denial they may be experiencing. You’ll have the opportunity to discuss sensitive topics, such as how addiction has affected your relationship, your feelings of anger, shame, or guilt, and what you’ve always wanted to say but couldn’t. Some of you might be hesitant to share certain details or incidents that your loved one hasn’t mentioned in treatment. That’s okay! This is a chance for you to process your emotions and find closure. We’ve had cases where family members have shared incidents that their loved one wasn’t aware of or had suppressed.

Take Control of Your Journey

Our family workshop is designed to empower you with the knowledge, support, and tools you need to navigate this challenging journey. You’ll leave with a better understanding of addiction, a sense of community with other loved ones who are going through similar struggles, and a renewed sense of hope for healing and recovery.
