I’ve always held a lifelong belief in the power of adopting an eagle-like attitude in both life and business, recognizing its intrinsic connection to success. such an attitude empowers individuals to overcome challenges, pursue their objectives with unwavering determination, and unlock their full potential.

A few years ago, we provided crucial support to an international family grappling with addiction. Situated in South Africa, our guesthouse offered accommodation and assistance to both the father and his addicted child during the child’s six-month outpatient recovery program. Having encountered various rehabilitation centres in their home country, the father remarked on the tranquil and peaceful surroundings our facility provided. His observation, acknowledging the peaceful and supportive environment our facility offered for their family’s recovery, sparked the inception of a new idea – the idea to establish a rehabilitation centre.

It was during this time that the parallel between the story of the eagle’s rebirth and the journey of an addict took shape in my mind. Rooted in the eagle’s own story of facing a crucial choice at the age of 40 – to embark on a journey of renewal to allow him to live another 30 years or face death.

This parallel between the choice of the eagle and the choice the addict have to make to have a life, serves as a potent symbol for the voyage from success to addiction and ultimately to recovery. This idea became the foundation for the creation of Eagles View Wellness Centre.

Upon meeting Marius and sharing my vision with him, the transformation of our facility from Eagles View Guest House to Eagles View Wellness Centre felt like a natural and purposeful evolution.
